Nellie F. Tidline, Class of ’37 and charter member of AKA, Beta Xi Chapter (second from the right), a graduate student from Virginia, served tea as one of the southern participants in Robert E. Lee Day at Willard Straight Hall.

Tidline wrote her thesis, Study of the Participation in Household Tasks by Ten Negro Girls in Ithaca, New York, 1937 and graduated that same year.
