July 11" "densely woody on stem, leaves & under petals. pale yellow-white, under side blended at base with indigo. Blooms from 3 to 10 inches tall, singly, but often plants stand so as to bloom apparently (sic) in clusters of 3-10, a few inches apart" "stems yellow-green, light, down snowy white, like fur.".
