"Havana Station" was the name of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Havana while it was still a charge on a circuit (not yet
incorporated into society with a full time pastor). The first class was organized in 1820 and services were held in a log
school house near the Episcopal church. A church formed in 1829, and the society was incorporated in 1835 in the same year
as the church building was dedicated.
This register (1850-1874) contains mostly lists of church members and probationers; but it also lists pastors, trustees, class
members, leaders and elders; and records baptisms, marriages, expulsions and deaths. At the end of the register are "annual
reports" recording pastors' salaries (1850-1855). Many of the lists and records in this book are not in chronological order
and contain several gaps in Page s and years.
