BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Educator.
Bertha Stoneman graduated from Cornell, Class of 1894, and received a Doctor of Science degree in botany in 1896. She joined the faculty of Huguenot College in Wellington, Cape Colony (South Africa), a women's college. From 1928 until her retirement in 1933, she served as president of the college.
