A collection of black and white photographs of members
of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen of America, both formal committee pictures,
and one candid photograph.

The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen [BRS] is a labor union in the United States.
It was founded in 1901 and represents workers who are tasked with maintaining
railroad signal systems, highway-rail crossing warning systems and fabricating
railroad signal equipment. The BRS is affiliated with the AFL-CIO and is a member
of the Transportation Trades Department.

This collection consist of four black and white photographs. On is identified as the General
Chairman's Meeting in Chicago, Illinois at the Morrison Hotel on September 24-25, 1949.
The second, which has a Toledo, Ohio photographer's stamp on the back, is a picture of
13 unidentified men. The third photograph shows 11 unidentified men. At least one particular
man appears in each of these photographs, but he is unidentified. The final picture is a
candid shot of men and women at a formal dinner.
The photgraph in folder 2 is creased and requires delicate handling.
