Remembering Lincoln at Gettysburg

In November 2013 Cornell University Library celebrates the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address with an exhibition about the events in Gettysburg. On display will be Cornell’s manuscript of the Gettysburg Address, one of only five copies in the handwriting of Lincoln, along with other Lincoln documents and Civil War era artifacts.

Viewing Hours for the Original Manuscript:

As part of the exhibition, the Cornell University Library will display its original manuscript copy of the Gettysburg Address in Lincoln's handwriting for eleven days in November to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's speech:

Weekdays
Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Friday, Nov. 22, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturdays
Nov. 16 and Nov. 23, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A high-quality facsimile will be on display for the remainder of the exhibition, which runs now through Dec. 20 and includes a plethora of original Lincoln documents and Civil War artifacts.
