Rare and Manuscript Collections

Researchers seeking information about specific items or collections unique to Cornell are encouraged to e-mail questions to rareref@cornell.edu. Please use this e-mail address to request information about the contents of books and manuscripts housed in Cornell’s Rare and Manuscript Division, access to these materials, or reproductions of these materials. Inquiries regarding donations or questions about library acquisitions may also be submitted here. They will be forwarded to the appropriate staff member.

If you are not a member of the Cornell community and have a question of a general, subject-oriented nature, please contact your local reference librarian. Cornell University students, faculty, and staff members may direct general library reference questions to the Olin/Kroch/Uris Reference Desks or to their college libraries.
