Carl F. Pilat was an American landscape architect. He was born August 19, 1876 in
Ossining, New York and attended Cornell University, receiving his A.B. degree from
the College of Agriculture in 1900. He served as landscape architect of the New York
City Park Department for five years and later designed many estates in New Jersey,
Long Island, and Westchester County. Pilat was a Fellow of the American Society of
Landscape Architects. He died May 26, 1933 in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.
