BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Morton J. Schussheim's career included work at the city, state, and federal levels, including a central role in shaping the housing policy and legislation of the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. His papers complement other records in the Cornell collection, including those of Charles Abrams, with whom Schussheim worked at the New York State Housing Rent Commission, and of Coleman Woodbury, a predecessor as Assistant Administrator for Program Policy at the U.S. Housing and Home Finance Agency.
