BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Situationist International (SI) was an international organization of social revolutionaries made up of avant-garde artists, intellectuals, and political theorists, prominent in Europe from its formation in 1957 to its dissolution in 1972.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

A collection of rare printed materials, artwork and other images documenting the ideas and influence of the Situationist International. Material includes 291 publications (70 books; 195 zines, pamphlets, and periodicals; 25 exhibit catalogs), 84 fliers & handbills, posters & stickers, 4 pieces of original artwork, 3 photographs, 4 prints, approximately 100 leaves of photocopied materials.
