COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

The collection consists of sixteen prose fiction manuscripts, most of which are plastic-ring-bindered photocopies and some of which are bound original typescripts. They are self-published under the imprint Crow n' Co. The works "coming home" and "conetree" were completed following Wolfe's AIDS diagnosis. The prose is grammatically and orthographically idiomatic; the stories are non-narrative; the themes and motifs tend toward the introspective, free-form aesthetic and stream-of-consciousness, and artistically impressionistic. Gay themes are not immediately evident.
