The Centre Christian Church dates from 1820 when the Reverend David Millard, Joseph
Badger, James McGregor and David Burrel came to Naples and held meetings in barns
and schoolhouses. In 1826 a society was formed at West Hollow with eleven members.
This group merged with one which was organized in Naples village in 1842. In 1845
the church completed a 35' by 50' meeting house. In 1875 the church building was
moved to Lyon Street and remodeled. The Society disbanded in 1881.
One volume of subscription lists and minutes of subscribers' meetings.
