of Mount Hope; loan and dowry records; recipe books; children's school exercise books;
diary of Jesse W. Canfield of Pleasant Valley, New Jersey, with comments on his school
days, teaching, family and friends, and his religious experience. Also, microfilmed
copies of correspondence, notebooks, and genealogical research materials pertaining
mainly to the Canfield, Crawford, and Purdy families, but also to the related Barclays,
Ketchams, and Littles. Also includes miscellaneous items relating to Alsop, Leander,
and Louisa (Canfield) Purdy, and constitution and minutes of the Mount Hope Debating
