BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Home demonstration agent.
Rachel Merritt graduated from Cornell University in 1928 and received a Master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. She served with the New York State Cooperative Extension Service for thirty-two years and was Assistant State Leader of Home Demonstration Agents at the time of her retirement in 1963.
