BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

The collection consists of meeting minutes, press releases, notes on conferences, speeches, and field reports.
The film is prefaced with Mrs. Ellickson's explanation of the work of her office and a general description of the papers. In this statement she indicates that the papers reflect her widely varied work as assistant to CIO Director John Brophy and that they contain notes on meetings and conferences; notes for preparing Brophy's reports, speeches and articles; her own writings in preparation for publication, pamphlets, circular letters, news releases; and papers pertaining to office functions indicating the role of the central office in preparing charters for local unions, field reports, statistical analyses and other administrative details. Much of the material is in the form of holograph notes, working papers, drafts of speeches and press releases, and other rough material.
