Consists chiefly of correspondence with former students regarding letters of recommendation;
letters concerning book reviews and articles; letters concerning the scheduling of
lectures and speaking engagements; and correspondence with colleagues and friends.

Drafts and manuscripts of books and articles by Wolfson and her colleagues dealing
with the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, American labor, unemployment, Jewish
women in the American labor movement, the National Recovery Administration, economic
security, socialism, Soviet unemployment insurance, the Trade Union Educational League,
wages, women, workers' health, industrial conflict, industrial unionism, the Rifton
Strike, and Samuel Gompers. Also includes project outline, manuscript chapter drafts,
and interview notes for a project by Wolfson (1947-1948) of interviewing labor leaders
for "Philosophy and Labor". The project involved interviewing 100 individuals in the
American Federation of Labor (A.F.of L.), the Congress of Industrial Organizations
(CIO), and independent unions to explore matters of concern to organized labor. Leaders
from the following unions were interviewed: A.F.of L. Central Labor Council, United
Automobile Workers, Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, International Ladies'
Garment Workers Union, International Longshoremen's Union, International Association

All Frances Wright materials in boxes 34-43 were transferred to Krock Library Rare
and Manuscripts as collection Archives 6934. The transferred materials include: Research
materials and manuscripts collected by Wolfson for the book Frances Wright, Free Inquirer, published in 1939, which Wolfson co-authored with A.J.G. (Alice Gray) Perkins. Include
correspondence (1909-1967) chiefly between Wolfson and Perkins, researchers, and various
research institutions seeking biographical, genealogical and publication data on Frances
Wright; drafts (mss. typewritten) of the book chapters, index, and bibliography; biographical
data on Wright consisting of mss. notes; excerpts and drafts. The excerpts (mss.)
were copied chiefly by Perkins from letters of Wright and from the newspapers Nnew Harmony Gazette (1825- 1828) and Free Inquirer (1828-1831). Wright's correspondents include Richard Wright, Mrs. Craig Millar, Charles
Wilkes, James Milne, the Marquis de Lafayette, William Roscoe, B. Flower, Jeremy Bentham,
Robert Dale Owen, Camilla Wright, Phiquepal D'Arusmont, and Marie Louise Duclos Fretageot.
Also excerpts from the poetry of Wright, Wright's Commonplace Book, Owen's diary, and the Book of Nashoba kept by James Richardson and Sylvie D'Arusmont's diary (child of Wright and Phiquepal
D'Arusmont). Includes the original ms. of Frances Wright's Last Will and Testament
(1852); photocopies of Wright's correspondence with Robert Dale Owen and the Marquis
de Lafayette; mss. maps of Nashoba Territory in West Tennessee; printed deeds of the
lands of Nashoba (1827); ms. address by Wright (1827) on the nature and object of
the institution at Nashoba and its founding principles; mss. deeds and agreements
(1746-1834). Also original mss. speeches and lectures of Wright: The Six Ephochs of Human History (history of human civilization: its beginning in India, Egypt, Greece, and Rome and
