Over the years, HRC has rebounded from controversies and continued to attract supporters to build a “grassroots force of more than 600,000 individuals of every description, joined together in common purpose.” A sign of HRC’s success was its purchase and award-winning renovation of a downtown Washington, DC building for its headquarters, which opened in 2003.
