Context: Drawing of a stem of Hooded Pitcher-Plant with leaves and flower; also detailed drawings of top and bottom view of flower; annotated in detail. American Museum of Natural History Florida expedition.. Annotation: "near Sapp, Baker Co, N. Fla - April 10, 1908". Annotation: "liver red strongest on top, veins & ribs, with translucent white spots on back." "Lemon yellow, upper surface of sepals reddish on edges & centrally & basally greenish, stem green, burned red [from?] sun.". Annotation: perspective and color notes.. Annotation: "Inside of hood sap green, with crimson veins at base in receptacle, were 1 click beetle [figure], many small ants, hymenopterous wings, 1 grub [figure], another beetle & much unrecognizable; in all, about 1 inch of insect remains."
