Context: Alpine Avens and Bearberry (also known as KinniKinic) Annotation: "Dryas" "Rock wort [crossed out]" "Ptarmigan Lake" "July 11, '07" "about 8000 ft." "Dryas octapelala" "from 7 to 11 petals -- 7-8 average" "leaves dark olivaceous green, slightly powdery on upper surface, chalky, almost white, on under [surface], veins yellowish on under surace" "general appearance of plant glaucus (sic)." "flowers palest yellow - merely creamy white". Annotation: "Heather myrtle" "leaves waxy grass green, margined with clear bright yellow, & paler on back surface" "flowers white, with rose-red lips and sepals."
