"The History of Oregon and the Pacific Coast and Its Especial Connection with Ithaca, New York," a handwritten account concerning the journey begun in 1835 by the author's father, Rev. Samuel Parker, from Ithaca to the Oregon Territory, where he was to found Indian missions under the auspices of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions with financial support of the Ithaca Presbyterian Church; also relates the experiences of Parker, Marcus Whitman, and other missionaries in Oregon, and discusses the activities of the Hudson's Bay Company there. Copies of letters to Parker from the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, Marcus and Narcissa Whitman, and Henry Harmon Spalding, and copies of letters from Parker to his family are included in the volume.
Also, "Papers Relating to the History of the Presbyterian Church, Ithaca, N.Y.," by S. J. Parker and "A Picture of Ithaca, N.Y. as I Saw It in Childhood," 1895, by S. J. Parker.
