The Methodist Church of Savona was built in 1843. Previous to this services had been
held in the schoolhouse by the Reverend Mr. Story and other early preachers. Among
the oldest members were Elisha McCoy and the Hughes family, headed by Issachar Hughes.
This one volume pre-printed register lists baptisms, marriages, probationers, members,
and classes.
