PROVENANCE

The records in this collection were filmed under the direction of the Cornell University Library's John M. Echols Collection on Southeast Asia and the Department of Conservation and Preservation at the Tuol Sleng museum of Genocide in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from January 1991 to April 1993. The confessions of some 4300 detainees comprising 400,000 pages of handwritten text in Khmer, as well as internal prison documents were filmed.
