COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

Correspondence, diaries, travel albums and journals, accounts, financial and legal papers, post cards and photographs, published and unpublished stories and articles by Edgar Price, advertising copy and other writing, and genealogical material concerning the Price family, primarily Edgar Dayton Price, Paul D. Price, Arthur B. Price, Francis Smith Price (Mrs. Edgar D.), and Florence Price Beeson, and including letters and a silk color sample book from her dressmaking establishment in Shanghai, China.
Also, correspondence from Paul and Hazel Price to David Price, 1943-1982; correspondence, notes, notebooks, population data, and other material written by David Price in the 1950s and typescript field notes by David Price on Nambiquara (Satones) (Nambicuara) Indian groups in Brazil, 1967-1970. Notes, tape recordings, memos, and published and unpublished reports used to prepare his book about Nambiquara; and autobiographical writing by David Price,1998.
Also, Master's thesis that David Price wrote at the University of Chicago, "A Traditional and Transformational Analysis of Sherente Kinship Terminology," 1967, Bd. Ms. 1.
