Miscellaneous business, financial, and legal records of Alfred Van Santvoord; his wife, Anna Van Santvoord; Mrs. Van Santvoord's maternal grandparents, Jacob and Anna Lansing; her father, Absalom Townsend; the Van Sanvoord's son-in-law, Eben Erskine Olcott; their great-grandson, Alfred Van Sanvoord Olcott. The papers of the Lansings include deeds to property in Montgomery County and court briefs (ca. 1819-1829); the Van Santvoord and Olcott records include administrative, fiscal, and legal papers and photographs relating to Alfred Van Sanvoord's investments in the Hudson River Line and several railroads in eastern New York.
