Papers of Louis John Taber, dealing mainly with his interest in the Grange and in politics, and including correspondence, speeches, and various publications. Subjects include his work as Master of the National Grange, 1923-1941; his participation in the International Institute of Agriculture Conference, 1926; his campaign as the Republican candidate for U.S. Senator from Ohio, 1932; his recommendation for the post of Secretary of Agriculture, 1932; his opposition to many New Deal programs; the Farm Bureau-Grange controversy, 1939; his work on several federal agricultural commissions; and early Grange history.
