of New York State by the Dutch and the English, covering a period from about 1621-1800;
polemical pamphlets, speeches, reports, and legislation concerning canals and railroads
in the state, 1800s; pamphlets on social issues including temperance, the condition
of the poor, and women's rights; speeches and reports on the state of New York State's
finances; reprints of two speeches by 1940 Presidential candidate Wendell Willkie
(1941); and pamphlets on religious issues, mainly concerning the Episcopalian and
Presbyterian churches.
