BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Richard G. Warner received a Bachelor's Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Agricultural Sciences in 1947 followed by his Master's in 1948 from Ohio State University. He went on to earn a PhD in Animal Nutrition from Cornell University in 1951. In that same year, he began teaching and became an associate professor of Animal Husbandry, followed by appointment as Professor of Animal Science and Nutrition in 1962. In addition to membership of several honor societies through his educational career, he has received such awards as The American Society of Animal Science Distinguished Teacher Award and "[Cornell University, 1985] Professor of Merit". He was a 1-year Henry Strong Dennison Research Scholar and 2-year Ralston Purina Fellowship recipient and led a life of teaching, travel, and research.

Animal Science conference and symposium summaries, abstracts, mimeograph series (1950s to 1990s) Personal and collaborative research papers and select animal science research material. Leaflet personal and collaborative publications and articles including an incomplete series on "Nutrient Requirements of Domestic Animals". Lab notes, binder contents, correspondence, and personal papers on animal care, nutrition, rights, and welfare. Films on hog farming, butchering.
