Guide to the Richard G. Warner Papers,
ca. 1950-1990.

Richard G. Warner received a Bachelor's Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Agricultural Sciences in 1947 followed by his Master's in 1948 from Ohio State University. He went on to earn a PhD in Animal Nutrition from Cornell University in 1951. In that same year, he began teaching and became an associate professor of Animal Husbandry, followed by appointment as Professor of Animal Science and Nutrition in 1962. In addition to membership of several honor societies through his educational career, he has received such awards as The American Society of Animal Science Distinguished Teacher Award and "[Cornell University, 1985] Professor of Merit". He was a 1-year Henry Strong Dennison Research Scholar and 2-year Ralston Purina Fellowship recipient and led a life of teaching, travel, and research.
