ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY

In 2003, the Educational Television Center from Media and Technology Services joined CIT. The Educational Television Center provides video production services ranging from basic professional recordings to public television documentary and entertainment programs. It also houses Cornell's satellite television services. Its studio facility has been the point of origin for numerous live national satellite video conferences and the venue for Cornell faculty and area experts appearing on network television. The Cornell Information Technologies Integrated Audio and Video Engineering group, which formed from Classroom Technologies and Video Collaborative Services, inherited some of the tape archive as well as the functions of the Media Services Group, though they technically do not organizationally descend from Media Services.
