Professor Emily Clark Brown (Ph.D., University of Chicago, 1923) was an associate
industrial economist, U.S. Women's Bureau, 1929, assistant professor of economics
at Wellesley and assistant professor, later professor, of economics at Vassar College,
beginning in 1932. Brown was a specialist in labor economics and wrote on collective
bargaining, national labor policy and labor in the Soviet Union.
Interviews conducted by ILR student Mike Brizel in 1976 for the Collective Bargaining
in Sports project.
