Abstract:
This informative and sometimes amusing interview begins with Roberts describing her childhood in Chicago. She goes on to explain how she moved to NYC to organize hospital workers and eventually became Associate Director of District Council 37. Roberts discusses communist infiltration of unions, women's liberation, being jailed for striking, negotiations, and her organizing efforts
