COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

Arbitration hearing before Janes J. Healy, Chairman, John P. Cooney and George E. Byford held April 2, 1948. Issues in the negotiation of a new contract were:
1. Overtime after 8 hours per day.
2. A guarantee of a minimum day for all, including maintenance men.
3. Modification in basis of compensation for split assignments.
4. Union security.
5. Working conditions.
6. Wage increase.
