Prominent Visitors

Many important figures in architecture came to Cornell: in 1947 architect Walter Gropius and painter Amédée Ozenfant were visiting lecturers; Philip Johnson a visiting critic in 1950; Frank Lloyd Wright came in 1952; and Buckminster Fuller, visiting critic in 1954, built a geodesic dome on the roof of Rand Hall with his students.
